1851 this land was for sale. 2026, we're celebrating. GV Fest 175 presented by XXXX is a one-day, one-night festival celebrating 175 years of Queensland's oldest licensed pub. Free all day from 11am. Ticketed evening concert from 5pm.

The Occasion

In 1851, this land was purchased on the shores of Moreton Bay. A building went up. People came. And 175 years later, they’re still coming.

The Grand View Hotel – Queensland’s oldest licensed pub – has seen generations of Redlands families walk through its doors. First dates and farewell drinks. Footy finals and family lunches. The kind of place that becomes part of your story without you even realising it.

GV Fest 175 is our way of saying thank you. To this community. To this place. To 175 years worth celebrating.

On Saturday 29 August, we’re throwing open the doors for one day and one night you won’t forget. A free daytime festival for the whole community, followed by a one-night-only outdoor concert headlined by Vanessa Amorosi.

Daytime Festival from 11am

Free from 11am. The whole venue is yours.

From 11am the GV comes fully alive. Live music on the main stage, local market stalls, food stalls, pop-up bars and a kids zone – spilling out across the full venue and into the carpark. It’s big, it’s loud, it’s free, and it’s for everyone.

Book a table or just come on in. Bring the family, the neighbours, the furry friends, the whole street if you like. All ages. No ticket required.

Evening Concert from 5pm

One stage. One night. 175 years in the making.

As the sun sets over Moreton Bay, GV Fest 175 moves into its headline act. The full venue stays activated – pop-up bars, food stalls, the whole GV humming – as the evening concert gets underway.

Hunter Boswell from Australian Idol, opens the night from 5:30pm. Then at 7pm, Vanessa Amorosi takes the stage. One of Australia’s most iconic voices. Right here at your local. For one night only.

Is the evening concert all ages?

Yes, everyone is welcome at GV Fest 175. Under 18s are welcome at the evening concert but must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult guardian.

Please note – a guardian means a parent or responsible adult, not a friend who happens to be over 18.

If I book a table, do I have it for the whole day?

Standard 2-hour table bookings apply on the day – but honestly, GV Fest 175 is built for exploring. Get up, wander around, check out the stalls, find a spot at the bar, have a dance. We’ll have extra tables set up throughout the venue and carpark for you to float between once your booking wraps up. You don’t even need a booking to enjoy the day – just come on in.

Can I book a table for the evening concert?

Table bookings aren’t available for the evening concert – but don’t let that stop you. There’ll be plenty of seating and tables throughout the venue, it’s first in best dressed on the night. And honestly, with Vanessa Amorosi on stage, you probably won’t want to sit down anyway.
